Ask Leo! establishes long term relationships with readers with ongoing email content delivery. Readers come to Ask Leo! to solve a problem, and like what they see. As a result they sign up for one or more email-based subscriptions.
Currently sporting over 90,000 subscribers and steadily growing the Ask Leo! Newsletter has been publishing since 2005. Readers get news in the form of newly posted or updated articles on the web site, but also specific recommendations, featured user content and more.
All readers have requested and confirmed their subscriptions. Email subscription is fully confirmed "double opt-in". The newsletter is wanted, and gets read. The highly reputable Aweber email service provider aggressively removes bouncing addresses, and it's easy for subscribers to leave the list. The result is that Leo's Answers mailing list is very clean and very likely to be opened.
Each newsletter has a single advertisement.
Format: Even though Leo's Answers is presented in HTML, advertising is presented as text only. Unlike flashing graphic ads that everyone's trained themselves to tune out, ads in Leo's Answers, while still distinctive, are designed to flow naturally with the newsletter content. The result? They're much more likely to actually be read.
A single ad runs in each issue, and is up to seven lines of 70 characters each; centered.
Check any newsletter in the archive for examples.
Archive?
Yes! Every issue of the newsletter is archived on-line - and that includes your ad. For as long as the site and archives exist.

Ask Leo!, Puget Sound Software LLC and Leo A. Notenboom all reserve the right to reject ads for any reason. Most commonly this applies to ads which are objectionable in some way. Gambling, pornography and other "adult themed" ads will not be accepted.
Due to the nature of products advertised in the tech space, we also reserve the right to reject ads known or suspected to be misleading, exploitive or with poor reputations. While it's not an option I use often or lightly, the bottom line is that I absolutely reserve the right to try to protect my readers if I feel it's necessary.
Ask Leo!, Puget Sound Software LLC and Leo A. Notenboom all reserve the right to modify ads for any reason. Typically it's expected that this will happen as necessary to meet mechanical needs. Advertisers will be notified, typically before the ad begins its run.
Ask Leo! does not participate link exchanges for purposes of SEO.
If you believe that Ask Leo! has something of value to your audience, then by all means link to Ask Leo!. Conversely, if you think you have something of actual value relating to a topic seen on Ask Leo!, then let me know and perhaps I'll link to it.
Naturally, because of the volume of requests, I simply can't respond to all of them. But if linking to me is conditioned on a response from me or in getting a link in return that's probably not the type of link I'm looking for anyway.
Ask Leo! does not sell text links for the purposes of SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Ask Leo! only initiates affiliate relationships.
As outlined in our affiliate disclosure affiliate links are used only after independently evaluating a product and determining that it's something we feel meets a reader need and is something we want to present to our readers.
The net effect of this policy is that we'll politely decline all vendor requests to establish an affiliate relationship.

Remember, you are naturally more than welcome to purchase advertising on my site or newsletter, as outlined above:
Advertise on the web site.
Advertise in the newsletter.
Those ads will most definitely get your product seen by thousands of visitors for whom you could be the answer they've been looking for.
