Helping people with computers... one answer at a time.
The direct line to my inbox: for newsletter subscribers, book purchasers (and, perhaps, a few others
).
As always, I get too many questions every day to promise an answer to everyone, but if I can, I do try to pay a little extra attention to those of you who've taken the time to subscribe to my Ask Leo! newsletter, or shelled out money for one of my ebooks. Use this form - mentioned only in the newsletter and the ebooks - and I'll know that's you.
I cannot respond to every question. I get too many every day.
Use Search First Well over half of the questions I get are already answered on the site. Don't wait for me, use the Google Search function at the top of the page.
If you have lost access to your HOTMAIL account please read: What are my Lost Hotmail Account and Password Recovery Options? - it has or points to all the help I can offer.
I cannot recover lost passwords or lost or hacked accounts. Don't ask. Requests to do so will be ignored. Sorry. Read Would you please recover my password? My account has been hacked or I've forgotten it instead.
I require a valid email address so that I can get more information from you if I need it, or to notify you if I answer your question. (Note: I can not respond to challenge/response spam filters. Please whitelist leo<at>pugetsoundsoftware.com in order to receive any email I might attempt to send.)
There are more tips on getting your question answered in: Why didn't you answer my question?.

If you're having a problem with your computer or software you must include:
the version of the operating system you are running
the name and version of the software you may be having problems with
detailed steps to reproduce your problem
the complete and specific text of any error messages
If it's a problem of a more general nature I need details.
Without this information I can't help you and it's likely that you will not get a response.

So after you've read and understood all that, type in your question, press the "Ask Leo!" button below and your question will be placed in my queue. If I answer it, you'll hear from me in email.
