Read the article that everyone's commenting on. i was just wondering if my mom can go back and read my convos i am having with my friends i don't have anything to hide but i just think that kind of stuff is personal to person i am upset to still be living at home since im old enough to be on my own but i just want my privacy and i am afraid she can read my convos how do i erase them so she cannot?? Posted by: lisa caldwell at August 1, 2004 11:42 PMI accidently deleted the file containing a conversation from the "My Received Files" directory. (From what I remember it had the persons name followed by a lot of numbers). Now when I go to Tools/Options/Messages I cannot select "Automatically keep a history..." as it is greyed out. How can I recreate this? I thought restarting would recreate it but it doesn't. I'm using Windows XP. Can anyone help please..... Posted by: zoton at September 3, 2004 9:19 PMRebooting certainly won't recreate a file that has been deleted. You *may* have luck with an undelete utility, but it's a very slim chance - I actually don't have a recommendation for one - you might try Googling for one.
