Look, I got a key and it is a sticker on the bottom of my new laptop, but microsoft says it is the wrong key, so how can I find a key on my laptop, cause mabey the sticker is wrong.

Hi, just thought I would help out by giving a link to another program that works great recovering what you have lost and it is FREEWARE.

Program name: RockXP 3.0

You can probably download it from a 100 different sites but here is a link to begin with. Hope this will help :o)

I have a full retail version of windows xp pro. I have lost the code key and I need to reformat and reinstall it again due to some files that was deleted from the pc. I would like to know if there is a way to find out the code key of the cd. I have started to install it and I am in the middle of the installation when it ask me for the code key. I have looked everywhere for it and I can't seem to find it. Is there any workaround to this or any solution to this problem. Any sugestion wuold be greatly appreciated Thank You in Advance.

Please read the article you just commented on for a way to get the key from a running system. The key is not stored on the CD, as explained in this article: http://ask-leo.com/how_do_i_find_the_windows_cd_key_from_the_cd.html so if you do not have a running system, and you do not have a key from the box somewhere, then you're out of luck.

i want to reinstall xp. i dont have a cd. when i run winnt32.exe, it says it cant run because the one one the computer is a newer version. what do i do?

my computer crashed, and i want to reinstall windows xp professional edition. but i dont know my activation code. Is there any way i can find that code on the documents inside the cd. Thanks
