What is the cause and how can I resolve this ? Thanks Posted by: Jorge at February 17, 2005 11:01 PMmy problem with outlook express is that we have four identities to choose from and it will not let me switch identities without changing every blank on the manage identities section to the same user name Posted by: Carol Smith at April 6, 2005 2:21 PMOperating system:Microsoft Windows ME (Millennium) Thanks, I have Jorge's same problem and still haven't found a solution... HELP! Posted by: Erika at July 19, 2005 12:11 AMWhen I go into outlook express it says "there was a problem swithching folders, possibly because the folder was busy. Please wait a moment and try again" and it will then not let me access my messages. Any ideas??? Posted by: nicole at July 20, 2005 9:21 AMI've not heard of that error message before, if you've transcribed it exactly. I would make sure you're not running Outlook Express twice, perhaps, but other than that I'm not sure. Posted by: Leo at July 21, 2005 1:27 PMTry to use the http://www.nsware.com/Repair-Tool-for-Outlook-Express.htm Posted by: Bob at August 7, 2005 5:08 AMI have just received this error message in outlook express "there was a problem switching folders, possibly because the folder was busy." I cannot read any HTML formatted emails after this point. Outlook cannot open any messages either and throws strange "Do you wish to save unknown '.htm' file to disk?" whenever it starts up. MSIE (which I rarely use) is no longer able to open web pages any longer either, wanting to save the pages immediately to disk. So in summary, corruption in Internet Explorer could be a strong source for this error message that you are receiving. Posted by: Erik at September 2, 2005 11:06 AMFYI, the solution in my particular case was to enter the following command into "Start -> Run": regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mshtml.dll Posted by: Erik at September 2, 2005 11:39 AMHi (I could not find an article to match my issue)
