Hi, am having the same problem and changing to default settings in the tools / intertnet options / connection settings does not do a thing. help me please... .urgent....
Posted by: Swarna at February 6, 2005 12:03 AMi've been trying to sign into my msn messenger for the past hour. i can't sign on. it says "Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to the .NET Messenger Service at this time. Please try again later. 80072eff". i tryed to sign into it about a million times and now, as you can see, i gave up. please help me becouse i can't live without msn. THANK YOU!!!!

Some of the errors could be caused by problems on your system. However, recently msn had been doing some maintenance on their server. Yesterday i was getting errors for a few hours before getting back on last night. Now today i getting a different error. So one way ot know for sure if it is not your system that is acting up is ask you friends before uninstalling and doing other stuff to your pc.
Posted by: Dreddie at February 8, 2005 12:34 PMhey chez, iv got the same problem as u :S dunno whats going on with msn today. i was able to get on perfectly a few hours ago. suddenly, i was logged off msn in the middle of an important conversation with a girl i liked :P anyway, i tried signing in again and i was given the message, "we were unable to sign u into msn messenger possibly because of the service or ur internet connection blah blah blah." iv tried everything! (uninstalling-reinstalling-repairing etc.) also, i just wanna add that i tried using e-messenger.net to get me onto msn BUT EVEN THEY WERE HAVING PROBLEMS!!! jesus! anyway...plz help, thanx if u can, ash oh and btw, feel free to add me to msn (if it ever works again) or take a look at my website: www.freewebs.com/findthecolour :D hot babez welcome ;) lmao!

start > run > and type
regsvr32 softpub.dll
and it worked straight away. Everyone should try that first

A few minutes ago I couldn't sign onto my MSN Messenger. It kept on saying that there is and error "80072eff". I called a few of my friends and they said they couldn't get on. I tryed a few things and all of a sudden it signed me on:
1) Restart Computer
2) Sign on MSN account
3) If it don't work, press retry a few times, and eventually you'll sign on
