tried in MSN 7.5 and it said,
"Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the remote host name could not be resolved. Please try again."
How is the host name set up?

In answer to madmax's question concerning his IT guy watching. With XP Pro it actually locks the host machine while remote desktop is running. If your IT guy was to connect while you where using the laptop it would lock the screen in front of your eyes. If you are using that machine from home surely you will be on another network. He may have the address for the machine when it is at work but when you are at home you will have a different address that is probably dynamically assigned by your ISP and I doubt very much he can connect to it at all.

In response to gamer's question about playing an RPG with friends, but not paying for battle.net or something similar. What you can do is set up a VPN or Virtual Private Network. I use a program called Hamachi very frequently for a number of reasons, and I know it can be used for gaming. I suggest you check it out www.hamachi.cc

In response to SUDHEER's problem: The most common reason for that type of error message is a badly set up router or firewall. Make sure you have all the necessary ports open between the two computers, both in software firewalls on your PC and any firewall that might be on your home router. Most likely it will be the firewall within your router.

There is a program unlike no program b4. It will create a network between 16 computers (VPN), where loctaion is not a question. So you dont have to configure your firewalls, or routers. And you can play games over the network. No more battlenet. or other servers. I suggest all of you look into it www.hamachi.cc they where there own company. LogMeIn took them over about 2 months ago.
