Whenever I am reading mail, or browsing, popups continually appear. They stop, or mess up my search query as I type it in and when I look at the query window, nothing or little of what I typed is there. The Google blocked DOES NOT STOP THEM!!
Posted by: Lowell at October 9, 2004 5:02 AMYou might try an anti-spyware solution - many popups result from spyware. Recommendations here: http://ask-leo.com/d-recommend
Posted by: Leo at October 9, 2004 9:48 AMThe Google Pop Up blocker does not stop the latest type of Pop Up - the ones where as you are reading the page it gradually spreads across your page, a person grins at you, it flips over and then finally moves to the side with for the first time a close button. I presume these are written in javascript but I would not buy from the advertiser out of sheer principle. But how do I stop them?
