Leo,
You could just press CTRL, ALT, DEL twice and type Administrator and hit enter. Then change the passwword for the account.

Leo, thanks for your help. I am trying to change my name to administrator. Now it is set as guest and limited user. I am the only user. As I follow your directions and press F8 my computer does nothing. I am in windows. I do not get "Safe Mode." What am I doing wrong? hbockmon@aol.com

I had that happen once. Tried a different keyboard - the F8 button just didn't work.

hi Leo

i want to know about windows 2003 Domain Controller, how can we reset password for windows 2003 domain controller because it has different SID format

Hey guys, just wanted to point out that on some systems, there is a jumper cable on the motherboard. If you take it off, start off the system then put it back once it's started, it will reset all passwords

I have a Dell Dimension 9200/XPS410 btw

Hey guys, If your pc is running with windows XP easily u can break the password, also can change the password without knowing administrator password. Get "Winternals" bootable CD and try it.
