Posted by: Mike at July 4, 2008 12:03 PMLeo, thanks for your help. I am trying to change my name to administrator. Now it is set as guest and limited user. I am the only user. As I follow your directions and press F8 my computer does nothing. I am in windows. I do not get "Safe Mode." What am I doing wrong? hbockmon@aol.com
Posted by: Harthia Bockmon at July 6, 2008 8:52 AMI had that happen once. Tried a different keyboard - the F8 button just didn't work.

Posted by: Mithun at August 24, 2008 9:20 PMHey guys, just wanted to point out that on some systems, there is a jumper cable on the motherboard. If you take it off, start off the system then put it back once it's started, it will reset all passwords
I have a Dell Dimension 9200/XPS410 btw
Posted by: Richard at September 10, 2008 7:58 PMHey guys, If your pc is running with windows XP easily u can break the password, also can change the password without knowing administrator password. Get "Winternals" bootable CD and try it.
