Followed your instruction, but unsuccessful. A message appreaed instead. Import Messages (x): which is saying "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has required files open. Please select another folder or try closing application that may have files open."

When I export from OE6, all of the addresses export at once rather than in separate folders as I have them. How do I keep them separate?

Thanks that worked on my deleted file and inbox file but OE6 still dont whant to inport my sent items and all the others.How do I go about.The old machine had Windows ME on but The New machine Hafe Windows XP on now.The Files was copyed from OE5.Thanks Nico

How can I import or transfer folders from another file ? I inadvertenly sent all my folders from Outlook Express to a location labeled C:\MyPictures. How do I get the folders back ?

Thank you so much, I am so not a techo, and this worked!!! My hard-drive crashed and the techo man managed to recover these dbx files for me. I had no idea how to get them onto new pc in Express. You are a lifesaver... all the way to Australia. THANK YOU.

Thanks, Leo, but it does not work this way, when I try to import the *.dbx files the way you described,it does not show the files in the window.( in the explorer yes, but not in the importing window ) windows mail has obviousely other file-endings than outlook express. I am desperate, since I have about 400 mails, which I absolutely need........
