If I have someone's ip addess how do I find out who the person is?

You don't.

I have one of those myspace tracker things that tells you who views your profile but it usually only gives you the ip address and state that they live in..that doesn't help me very much:( do you have any idea how I can find out who these people are by there ip address? I would be soooo apreciative!!!!

Nope. That cannot be done without the help of the ISP or law encforcement.

hey is there anyway to make it so that your ip address never shows. instead of just hiding it on specific things, is there a way to permanantly hide it?

He was using IP 70.25.65.7 which is in Canada. I am wondering what all steps me and the people that were scammed must take. The paypal account we paid to doesn't have the funds still in it so we can't get our money back that way. How can we find the actual user info for that IP from the ISP and who (being in the US) do we have to contact to get that person arrested in Canada? Please reply by e-mail at least. Thanks! I'm trying to help a group (including me)!

Like the article says, hit the ARIN database and then contact the ISP or law enforcement.

is there anyway a someone can get into my computer if he has my IP address ?
