Posted by: Leo at August 31, 2004 7:59 PMLeo,
How do I remove exact advertising 8.0.27 bullseye network program files?
I can't seem to delete the files conventionally.
Posted by: joel at September 13, 2004 11:42 AMI've had it with the Bullseye Network.Their pop-up ads continually sneak their way into my computer as I'm trying to do work online.I'm constantly having to re-start my computer and my work because these ads refuse to close or minimize allowing me no access to the work I'm trying to perform.I can't get any better protection.Only their ads and pop-ups come through. How do I prevent this annoyance? It's adding nearly an hour to my work day. This annoyance will soon be considered harrassment as far as the attorneys at my work tell me.Enough is enough.
Posted by: Joey at September 14, 2004 12:01 AMI have been receiving annoying pop-up ad from you for some time now. This happened because you discretely invaded my computer with your pop-up ad software into myh computer. I have tried to delete your software from my computer unsuccessfuly because you made it impossible to do so. I am hereby informing you that I don't want any pop-up ads from you no more. Consequently, I want you to contact me with information that will assist me in removing your unsolicited software from my computer.
Posted by: Samuel aborisade at September 18, 2004 1:48 PMFor the record, Ask Leo!, and Puget Sound Software, do not, never have and have no plans to employ popup advertising or software of any sort. If your comments relate to the subject of this page, then I believe the people you want to address your concers to are the owners of the BullsEye Network and/or BargainBuddy. Ask Leo, and Puget Sound Software, are not affiliated with them in any way.
Posted by: Leo at September 18, 2004 2:18 PMThe Bullseye Network is packaged with a handful of crap. I suggest you get HijackThis and intelligently remove the bad entries as well as BHODemon, which will control what BHO's load, helping protect your privacy. Search for them via google. Getting rid of these things will take you about 1 hour, probably. Good luck.
Posted by: Amada at September 21, 2004 6:12 PMHi,
I work for hardware support, the no of people who call in for removal of spyware seems that we are doing a software support and not hardware support.
Prevention is better than cure. so a small advice, pls install a firewall onto the comp and refrain from clicking on that damn popups again in ur life. think*. are they ur relatives to giv u sumthin free jus like tat. u go ahead and install these ******* spyware and stand on our heads to remove them....pls consider us to be as human beings
I can understand the concept of adware and can see the income potential of it. However, I truly despise the way adware is delivered. It is forced onto the computer without permission to install. It does not even prompt to inform the user it is being installed. It even gets through the corporate firewall, the computer's firewall with Ad-Aware and Spybot running. It even installs if the user is restricted from installing software. An uninvited intrusion on corporate systems that secretively manipulates a system is an attack by definition and is illegal. Half of my work week is spent removing adware from the systems and rebuilding the computers it happens to damage. Adware has potential. It is a shame it is used in such a malicious manner.
Posted by: masterlear at October 13, 2004 10:38 AMI dislike adware and spyware as much as the next PC user. And I agree that the methodology employed by the writers/coders of these programs simply do not 'seem legal' and are suspect - at the least. However, I have been able to build a business around the removal of these little gems of software. Bad for some, good for me. Go figure.
