Just clarifying that when you uninstall BullsEye Network, you're not clicking no when it asks you to uninstall, it asks if you want to discontinue the uninstallation...that's why you're supposed to click no.
Posted by: Kendra at December 26, 2004 8:41 PMAh the one we call Bullseye!
What a load of CRAP!
If of course after the last reply you are still having trouble removing bull
seye there are two more other way's..
First you can boot up your PC in safe mode and remove it using Add/Remove pr
ograms or download a great little spyware remover called Spyware Doctor! It
will definatly remove Bullseye in one fowl swoop!
The only downside to this program is that you must pay a one off fee!
You can find it at http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/
GOOD LUCK!
Posted by: Phoenix5 at January 9, 2005 1:37 PMBe careful when deleting it. I just uninstalled it and lost all my files- I was stupid enough not to back them up first. I've lost loads of music. They really are bastards and should be hung drawn and quartered. I hate them to hell.
Posted by: Robin at February 10, 2005 1:11 PMI got rid of Bullseye. I just went in to remove programs and answered no when i got to the second page. It's funny but the "no" button is where "next" is usually located. When you hit no they just ask you to fill out a four question survey and you can dump it.
I also got rid of two other programs that seemed to come with it. One was 180 something and the other was CtxPls. No tricks with these. I may have had to reboot. No big deal
My advice. If you are having brand new popup problems dump these and look at all programs. Dump any that show up as recently (same day) used that you don't think a aplly to real uses. They are probably part of it.
Sorry I don't remember the name of all of them. I know I dumped four or five programs. Some involved cash back and crap like that.
I'm running like new again
Posted by: Phil at February 19, 2005 10:35 AMya well bullseye cant be removed even after you have removed it usin add/remove. i suggest after you have done that go to www.microsoft.com and download microsoft antispyware to clean up all the leftover entries bullseye has put. or just go to run (if your running xp like myself) and type regedit and under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT delete any keys that have url catcher in them but only do this if you are an expert and you know what your doing...delete the wrong keys and you can permanently corrupt your system. if microsoft antispyware detects bullseye itll will say its deleted but it usually regenerates in my case, it did so if your havin the same problem follow the steps given.

I'll try that if I see the problems again. Right now nothing is happening. I looked where you said and found nothing under .url that fit that description. Just where in the registry would it be? There are at least 100 folders under the HKEY_Classes_Root. The .url folder didn't have anything like that.
Do you think it's possible you accidently downloaded it again? I am getting zero popups right now. That is what I had before and that is what I am back to.
I don't have a whole buch of programs in my list. It was not hard to find all the ones that came with this. You may have still had one of them or downloaded again.
Of course I may still have it but all of the browsing I was doing to trigger it no longer does so I assume it is gone.
Maybe my XPPro is easier to work with. I know next to nothing about this computer. I do know I like XPPro. LOL
Posted by: Phil at February 19, 2005 2:43 PMDid get the microsoft antispyware and it detected eXact.Bargainbuddy in my Temp files. that seemed to be the only trace of the crap associated with Bullseye it found.
Glad I got the Microsoft antispyware. It helped me find a lot of other stuff I can do without that my other spyware wasn't seeing.
Posted by: phil at February 19, 2005 3:28 PMI think I got this after I installed Advanced X Video from the PC Tools Issue 18 CD1 disk, as distributed by the magazine. I also downloaded the Microsoft antispyware - glad I did, it found a lot of ****.
Posted by: John NY at March 5, 2005 3:02 AMHey guys. I have had the same problems. It is 180Search Assist. I had no idea what CtxPls was and I found out from this site. Thanks. I am still trying to delete more of this ad crap from my computer. Is it possible that it can set your options in your pop up blocker to be off? Because I think it did that to me.
