Most eAcceleration employees don't care enough to post positive comments. They aren't paid to, nor are they encouraged to, nor do they feel strongly enough about the company to do so. It is, however, one of the few places in the Poulsbo area where one can make $10 or more at an entry-level wage, so most make the choice to either sacrifice morals or money.
Posted by: Dave at May 25, 2006 11:38 PMI came looking for the same solution. The eacceleration seems to blocks its removal in the add/delete programs option in my control panel. So I did a search on my computer which showed me the files and I deleted them (4) one at a time. It seems to have worked, although they are still in my trash bin-- just in case.
Posted by: Chris at July 12, 2006 3:45 PMdid think for a moment is was all in the spelling, i downloaded eAcceleration stop sign, i was looking for antivirus protection, all i got was a frozen pc, my advice is stay clear of any eAcceleration spyware/antivirus site no matter how it is spelt, bad news, managed to remove it with spy bot s&d thank god.
Posted by: david at July 17, 2006 3:28 PMI like eacceleration a lot; it gets me free beer and poker buy in. I have lots of fun rebuilding hard drives on friends' computers. When they see the semi hot vaugely eastern european blonde, they but down the bud, and pick up the phone. They don't realize you can get it off the internet, too...
Thanks Hughe Gnuts for helping me write this response.
Posted by: Franz Kafka at August 4, 2006 9:57 PMThanks for the the hint of running spybot in safe mode - it jogged my memory !! - as to the pluses and minuses of the software - i cannot say - all i say is that ANY program that does not include a clean unintall programme, is dodgy. But that's just my opinion - i also spen hours removing spyware, adware, malware & viruses from peoples computers - They shouldn't be allowed to go on the net without some protection !! - all those who help others out, will know exactly what i mean !!
Posted by: Phill at October 24, 2006 9:58 AMI have used Eacceleration for 3 years now and must say I think its an excellent product and great value for money.
I dont work for them either. I did not know that the had ever been considered as malaware or spyware though.
