SOMEHOW MY EX HAS A SOFTWARE PROGRAM THAT VIEWS ALL BCC CONTACTS.
I TESTED IT AND IT IS TRUE
IT RETURNS IN FULL HEADER ALL BCC ADDYS IN ANY EMAIL PROGRAM USING A POP3 PROGRAM.
THIS INCLUDES OUTLOOK, YAHOO, HOTMAIL, AOL, NETSCAPE, EDURA, ETC....
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM, SHE WONT TELL ME OR GIVE IT TO ME?
Posted by: PC at May 6, 2005 8:28 AMIf you recieve an email, you CANNOT see who was BCC'd on it. Period. That information is *stripped* from the mail before it is sent.
If you are the *sender* of an email on which you BCC'ed people, the some email clients will simply preserve that information in your copy of the mail in your sent mail folder.
Posted by: Leo at May 8, 2005 3:32 PMHow come I can't see the bcc list on e-mails that I've SENT out? Not received from other people, I know that those lists are meant to not be seen. But what about when I want to go back a check bcc addresses of e-mails I sent out?
Posted by: steve at August 16, 2005 10:37 AMThat's entirely dependant on the mail program you use. Some save and show the BCC line on sent mail, others do not.
Posted by: Leo at August 17, 2005 8:47 AMAny idea how to retrieve the bcc: recipients in an outgoing mail in the Sent folder of OE?
We are using IMAP.
How do I view a list of BCC'ed recipients that I've copied into an email in Yahoo Mail? It's driving me mad as I can never remember who I've sent emails to!
Thanks.
Posted by: Izzy at November 4, 2005 3:58 AMIf you have sent a message to Undisclosed Recipients. And want to see whom you have sent the mail after sending it. Search by Message 'Subject' In Google Desktop.
Posted by: Alok at January 12, 2006 4:23 AMThanks and a tip of the hat to Roy Rudder for providing the answer to me. I'll pass it along here:
Just go to the sent folder and right click the email and click properties.
Then click the details tab.
