I have the same problem as Martin. I have admin privileges, but when trying to install games (other applications seem to install just fine) it tells me that I need administrator privileges.
I created a new admin password. Too many characters/digits evidently. Can't even get Start menu up. the only thing i can get to is Guest account,
same problem. cannot download adobe flash player
to open you tube may require administrator rights
I have the same problem. My administrator account is gone so i went into safe mode, right click my computer, I click manage, and then there is no Local Users and Group
what preferably account name on the machine that will be assign on administrative privileges?

How do I get rid of Administrator log in? And, just get the welcome window back?
On SP2, at least, user account priv are set thru the control panel, not My Computer.
