Thanks so much, Leo, for this fix! Unfortunately, the folks at Microsoft should realize that when you allow the other parts of the taskbar to be resized at will that there's a way for people and programs to inadvertantly make their "running programs" section of the taskbar effectively a size of zero. Simply making this yet another toolbar and treating it like all the rest of them (ie you can turn it on or off with a menu click) would seem to me to be a more simple and straightforward design than requiring an obscure registry tweak to fix it. Nonetheless you and Kelly have come forth with a quick and easy way to make the change, though finding it took me considerably longer!!!

ON MY TASK BAR THE PROGRAMS DO NOT SHOW. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? I ACCIDENTLY DID SOMETHING NOW THE ONLY WAY TO CHECK WHAT I AM RUNNING IS BY, WINDOWS TAKS MANAGER. please can someone let me know how to fix this problem. REPLY ASAP
