I have encountered an error and cannot open Outlook and need to reinstall. I want to copy off my pst file so I can reimport after reinstall. Have looked all over and can't find. Is there a standard install path for such (running vista)
Posted by: craig at June 25, 2009 6:14 PMMy computer caught a virus so I purchased a new hard drive and now use it as my Main drive, and the infected (and cleaned) original as the Slave drive. I installed MS Office 2002 (Windows XP) onto the Main Drive and it created a new Outlook file. I'm cannot locate the original .pst file on the Slave drive. Did I lose it when I reinstalled MS Office onto the Main drive?

Posted by: Konker at August 15, 2009 1:00 AMCopy and move HIDDEN ".pst" files in Outlook 2007.
Leo:
Great article and critical to save and transfer computer e-mail files. Only Microsoft would make Outlook 2007 ".pst" files HIDDEN. Please update the above article for Outlook 2007 based on the 2006 vintage RECENT COMMENTS.
An updated article would reduce my 8-hour challenge to a simple 10-minute task for future readers. Writers in the 2006 RECENT COMMENTS disclose the required procedure. Windows Explorer does NOT find hidden ".pst" files.
