there is a program that will allow you to send an sms to your phone from your computer, go to messenger.yahoo.com and download and install yahoo messenger. there is no cost for sending sms messages to your cell phone from yahoo. all you do is look at your messenger at the bar where you can type in a name or email address and type the phone number you wish to text. then right click the phone number which will show up in your contacts list, left click, sms, a text box will appear, type your message and press enter.

try txt2day.com works for me and cellphonemessagesender.com also works well and a favorite i signed up an account but is not needed to use the free site to send messages is www.textem.net
