Yes, I know for a fact that you can send a text message to a cell phone from a computer. The easiest way is to use Yahoo.com.

You can't. Whether or not your recipient is charged is a function of their
provider and cell plan, and not something you can choose or control when you
send to them.

you can instant message a cell phone from aim by typing +########### in the "IM with" or "send" area, where ########### is their cell phone number

can you find out which computer sent a txt message to a cell phone if they do not leave a callback number or anything?
