How can I stop a message in my Outlook outbox that won't send?

Kent, thanks I have been trying to delete something in Outlook for a day, all else failed except your tip.

Awesome been trying to do that for weeks!!

My problem is, that once the message is in the outbox, it just keeps on sending over and over, twenty thirty times, the same message and never clears the outbox into the sent items. So you never know has the message been sent or not. How do I fix this one please. Outlook 2003 pro

Shift-Delete worked a treat - !! offline mode etc didn't work ... WELL Done

THank you so much!! I have been stuck with an email in my box for weeks. It is finally gone.

it says it was already moved or deleted or access is denied. it will let me get rid of it and it looks up my outlook and makes it not repsond.please help

THANK YOU - this worked perfectly (the offline tip) and stopped my co-worker from disliking what I did to her computer.

YAY!!! SHIFT-DELETE worked for me!!! Unplugging the network and working offline didn't help... but SHIFT-DELETE did!!!
