Thank you for pointing me in the right direction - I just want to add one point.
Problem
I am at GMT-7 and my hotmail emails were at GMT-2.
My computer time is correct.
My computer time zone is correct.
My time zone on hotmail is correct.
So, everything looks OK - what to do??
Who knows what internal glitch in conversion caused this problem, LOL!! So I fixed it as follows:
Change my hotmail time zone to something incorrect and saved it.
Then changed it to correct value and saved it.
I also added a work time zone with the same value - don't know if this was required but thought it wouldn't hurt.
Hope that this helps someone else.
Cheers
Jean
My Outlook Express e-mails show that they are being received 2 hours and 35 minutes later than they actually are, but they show that they are being sent at the actual time.
My computer time is correct.
My computer time zone is correct.
Any suggestions?!?!

Posted by: L. Darville Jr. at March 20, 2008 6:42 AMI change the time on my computer and then it changes back to an hour earlier, by its self. How can this be corrected?
Posted by: lisa at April 8, 2008 2:47 PMI still have this problem.
I checked my time, I checked the Time Zone, I auto sync with time-a.nist.gov, and I still have the problem. I also have the same problem on the other computer in the house.
The e-mail I get from work is 1 hour ahead. When I log into web mail for work it shows an hour ahead. By=ut when someone in the office logs into my web-mail they see the time received correctly. Any other suggestions?
Posted by: Rick at April 23, 2008 2:09 PMto change the time zone you have to click on account summery and then personal info and then change the time zone
Posted by: mehran at May 25, 2008 7:20 PMThanks, I couldn't figure out what was wrong because my PC time was correct.
I had Hotmail time set on 'Universal GMT' instead of 'London GMT', so i ended up getting emails that said 1:00 in the morning and I didn't know why!
Please mention that for Outlook users and possibly other mail programs, the Daylight Savings Option must be checked off. If not checked then time will be shifted 1 hour even though time shows correctly on desktop.
Posted by: RBCneon at July 31, 2008 9:35 AMFinally fixed this annoying little problem. Just changing my hotmail time zone worked for me. Thanks a lot.
Posted by: Steve at August 6, 2008 8:29 AMThis fixed the problem for me. I have Qwest Live Mail which is actually supplied by Microsoft. When I signed up for it they never mentioned setting this parameter and if you don't it apparently defaults to Universal (Zulu to us pilots) time, formerly known as Greenwich time. Just reset the parameters mentioned in the article to your time zone and it should fix the problem. Thanks again!
