Please help!!
I can't even access the hotmail website. I can't use my hotmail account in live messenger. I actually can't access almos all msn sites. I've triple checked my computer with anti virus and anty spyware programs and I've follow every instruction in this article and from other websites to fix this problem. I'm thinking about formating my hard drive. Is that the right thing to do?

I have changed my web Browser to Firefox and this HAS given me access to my hotmail account but I still get a blank page when I go to System Restore in system tools and also get the same in Control Panel in User Accounts.
Would appreciate any advice on this.

hi,
thanks alot for your help, this website was very useful! Whenever i tried to click on mail i would get redirected to the sign in page, after following all of your reccommendations the only thing that worked was turning off the firewall. Obviously it's not a good idea to keep the firewall turned off, any suggestions that will allow me to have my firewall turned on and access my email?

All the mails sent from hotmail to gmail accounts are not being delivered to recepients and they are bouncing back with message delivery delay status. They are not being delivered even after 4 days..
Is there any hotmail server administrators listening to this?
There is no way we can contact hotmail for any of the problems except password re-set.

For some reason I have problems emailing a friend of mine who also has Hotmail.com. I am positive I have the correct address. It does not even work when I respond to her email by hitting the reply tab. I also do not get a notification error that the email did not go through.

I was trying everything and getting nowhere. My hotmail account was logging in, but taking half an hour to show me anything. I found your site, but nothing was working... until I played with the numbers. It worked a treat! I had the number '101' and changed it to '23' (on the off chance that that may be a 'special' number) and hey presto, back to normal!

Since Hotmail changed their format recently to Live Mail, it does not allow us to print the full email messages we receive. We cannot adjust the margins to allow the full message to print and it cuts off the message partway through.

You may have closed it, but you kept on using it by logging into MSN with that account. MSN/Hotmail may well take that as a sign you really don't want the account closed. Stop using it.

Mails to closed accounts, or even non-existant accounts, are NOT guaranteed to generate a bounce message. Not getting a bounce doesn't mean anything.

I have another hotmail question. I have closed my hotmail account, using the steps you provided actually but the problem is this. I am sending emails via another service to the hotmail account that I've "closed" but they are not bouncing back. How come? What is worse, I can use the closed email and password to acces my MSN page and see the emails that have been sent to my account. How can I close the account entirely or at the very least, in the mean time just have the emails being sent to the closed account bounce back. Thanks so much

I have had my e-mail account for 8 years. All of a sudden it is telling me my password is incorrect. I do not know if someone changed my password without me knowing. I do not know the secret question or answer. Is there anyway for me to log on again to my account. I have had them send me recover messages to my account but if I can't log in then that doesn't help me. Please help!!!!

I tried to send an email to someone for the first time (i have never received one from them) and Hotmail tells me that that person is on my blocked sender list....have never blocked this person and I am trying to get in touch with them...how do i get them "off" this list I never put them on ??!!

My e-mails are suddenly out of chronological order. How do I get them displayed bak in chronological order as received?

I recieved and open pictures in jokes, etc but I when I forward them, everyone says they cannot open them. What can I do to fix this problem? It use to work, now it does not.

my email account has been locked because of it rejecting my information (that i know is 100% correct) and asking me to re-enter it too many times. i've searched, searched, and searched some more for a solution to this problem. i recently emialed customer support at hotmail and they sent me an automated response that was absolutely no help at all. getting into my hotmail account is urgent due to the information that is directed there. my alternate address is cdanie15@email.georgiasouthern.edu PLEASE HELP ME IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! thank you

I'm having the same problem as Jennifer, who posted the following on Oct. 10:
"i can not get into my hotmail account, it keeps telling me to match the numbers and than i match and it just clocks and kicks me out. i need to get into my hotmail account for my business help."

Basically, when I log in, the system wants me to verify that I am not a spammer, so it asks me to verify the letters in the box. I have done this now over 20 times, and each time I do it, it processes the information (and takes forever), and then I lose connectivity. Any recommendations?

The timestamp on the hotmail account reads 8 hours different from the clock on the computer. I have reset and synchronized the internet clock and Windows XP, but it hasn't fixed the problem. Is it a problem with my computer (physical, i.e. battery or some other componant) or is it a problem with the Browser (if so where might the setting be) or something entirely different from either of these? This is a problem especially for documents that need the time stamp.
