Is it a Microsoft Windows XP CD, or is it an OEM CD that came with the computer? And are the computers from the same manufacturer, if so? And what file does it say is missing?

Hi Leo, I have tried to install windows xp on to my 2ndPC using my sons disc.The screen now shows the install progress as 39%. It then stops and asks for the windows xp disc to be inserted or be cleaned, then shows error that a file is missing.It asks you to Click close and it goes back to restarting the install.And it just keeps on repeating itself.I have put the disc in over 50 times.How can i revert back to my original default windows or carry on installing XP.
