Helping people with computers... one answer at a time.

Deinst_qfe002.exe appears to be spyware, and a spyware scan is needed to remove it.

What is deinst_qfe002.exe?

Seems to be spyware of some sort. I'd run a spyware scanner and see what turns up.

I tried to delete the .exe but it came up with access denied.

I therefore went into regedit navigated to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

I found a reference to the .exe

I deleted the reference in regedit then shutdown the pc and then rebooted the pc.

Then went into My Computer and deleted the DEINST_QFE002.exe

Everything seems to be working ok, can connect to the internet ok.

Goodluck its a right swine
