Summary: There are a couple different ways to restore your Internet Explorer address bar if it has disappeared.

My Internet Explorer address bar has disappeared! All I have is search bars from Google and Mywebsearch and Iwonsearch. How do I get it back???

You should be able to right-click on one of the remaining toolbars and select address bar again.

If that doesn't stick, I'd suspect one of those other search bars for being spyware (not Google's, though - Google's toolbar is good and I run it myself). I would run a spyware tool immediately.

Update:

Microsoft recently released this knowledgebase article: The Internet Explorer Address bar is missing.

I also do not have an address bar and do not have an option to click it in toolbar. I downloaded IE 8 when this problem occurred. Now trying to get rid of IE 8 and go back to 6.

Thanks for the tips. It turns out my address bar was just hiding. By right clicking and sliding to the left it reappeared. I was able to drag it to its original place. If there are alot of buttons they tend to overlap each other. When you see the horizontal arrow you can slide them to hide or show them. Thanks everyone.

The suggestion from Robert re right click on the flag then .. etc. was the clearest- easier to figure it out from his. Worked great for me. thks.
To those who can't find the 'address bar'under view, it's a subfolder of 'toolbars'- put cursor over toolbars and voila...

Thank you so much! The link you provided to Microsoft helped me fix my problem with the disappearing address bar in two mouseclicks.
