Hi. I just wanted to ask why I see so many svchost.exe processes (6) in my Task Manager? One has a "Local Service" user name, and two have "Network Service" user names.

Thanks.

Why does WCESCOMM.EXE take up so many computer cycles? Even after synching between my PDA and PC, this program continues to use 5-7% of my CPU cycles doing nothing useful.

I was working w/ phone tech support on my wireless connection for my laptop and suddenly my laptop has gotten into a cycle of rebooting itself, doing a disk check and coming up with an error message about wcescomm.exe corruption. How do I get past this?

I sometimes have a problem accessing anything Internet. I have recently discovered that one of the processes in Task Manager, WCESCOMM.EXE, when deleted frees up my internet. I works everytime and immediately it's deleted. The actual amount of CPU usage at the time of deletion is 0%.

Any help on this would be great.

I just started having problems with wcescomm.exe consuming 100% of CPU doing absolutely nothing. This started to happen after I turned on "avant go" - i'm going to turn it off - maybe that's the cause.

The software is part of your Active Sync software used to communicate with your pocket pc. Whether or not you need to run this program on startup must be decided by you. If you feel that you want this program starting automatically so that you have it available as needed, then do not disable it. If you disable it at startup, you can still manually launch the program. :)

ActiveSync Toggle will disable it and allow to toggle on and off.
