Open your Administrative Tools, Services applet. Right click open the 'properties' dialog on each of the two InCD services. Stop them and change them to 'disabled'. Problems solved...
Posted by: CorbaTheGeek at January 6, 2007 1:23 PMI'm betting that, in some instances, the problem has to do with loading Jmicron drivers. These drivers are SATA/RAID only drivers and loading them will mess up the Jmicron controlled IDE port for running IDE drives. Jmicron say that if you want to use the IDE connector for optical drives ... enable Jmicron and set to IDE in BIOS and do NOT install ANY jmicron drivers.
Posted by: dano at January 23, 2007 10:05 PMI have a similar problem, whenever I insert a CD, Original/HomeBrew, Windows 2K freezes, but it's a 52X LG CD-ROM, so there's no Nero Installed, Anyway, if I let the CD on the drive, after restart, I can read the CD like a charm, but if I try to change it, Windows freezes again. It wont happend if I start in Safe Mode, but, Who want's to live in safe mode???
The 52x LG is just fine, I puted it in another computer and it works great, so, It should be a Software problem. I've tryed changing PIO/DMA Modes, but the problem persists...
Any suggestion???

Posted by: JOHANN DOHMANN at January 30, 2008 4:54 PMthanks leo and engineer i've been having this problem forat least 2 years! And then i realised that i've got the nero package with the incd program. So far so good . It is a seperate program called 'ahead INCD' or similar name. Simply go to control panel then add/remove programs and then uninstall.
