Why am I getting error code 800701f7 in MSN Messenger?

Home » Instant Messaging » MSN Instant Messenger

Summary: Error code 800701f7 results when there is a problem with the .NET Messenger Service.

Why am I getting error code 800701f7 in MSN Messenger?

I've received a small flood of reports of people having problems signing in to MSN Messenger. When they attempt to connect they're getting an error code 800701f7.

A quick look on the web indicates that 800701f7 indicates a "server too busy" state. And sure enough, when I go to look at .Net Messenger Status Page it, too, reports "Server is too busy". It's not reporting that as the .NET Messenger service status, it's reporting that the server is too busy to even return the status of the .NET Messenger service. (I'm also getting other errors on that site occasionally as well.)

Or more simply: the .NET Messenger Service seems to be having some problems.

There's no way to tell when it'll be back. The only advice I have at this point is to wait a while and try again later.

THE SOLUTION TO 800701f7 with MSN MESSENGER

I have analysed this issue over an hours period of time trying to fix this problem 800701f7 on MSN on my mates OS, i suspect if you have correct connectivity with the internet and if u can not use MSN messenger application, key ports malfunction, when u test the connectivity with MSN messenger by click on messenger, tools options, then connectivity, then connection settings-advance settings and then test your http proxy settings with the connectivity with .NET frame work with the MSN network, THIS PROMBLEM I assume would be due to Your .NET Frame work Drivers on your system are not functioning correctly

REINSTALL Your .NET Framework drivers depending what OS system you are running on your computer, if you have Windows XP Pro or Home i would suggest basic version 1, .net framework 1 at Microsoft.com co-operation! Hope it works out?! lol its worth a try!
